Greetings from Austinburg, Ohio!
Had a really great 'rest day' yesterday (in Cleveland). The rest days are sooooo welcomed (as much as I'm loving this ride -- I enjoy giving my 'bottom' a rest and getting off the bike for at least 24 hrs!)
Our hotel in Cleveland was a block from the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Museum so I took the opportunity to check it out! How is it that I can cycle 6 to 8 hrs a day...but a couple of hours at a museum can totally wear me down? I was exhausted !(is it because I'm using my brain and not my body??? That's embarrassing!) After a few hours of looking and listening to some really cool music stuff --- I headed right back to the hotel for a power nap!
Today we were back on the road....we rode 57 miles.
This is our last night in Ohio...we will be in Pennsylvania tomorrow!
I think we rode mostly along Lake Erie, through small townships and lots of small neighborhoods. But I'm not sure....Why am I not sure? Because I was so focused on potholes, potholes, potholes! The roads were terrible almost the entire 57 miles. -- At one point, I thought to myself "its a good thing all these ladies are past the child bearing age....because when we finish this route today, we will definitely all be infertile! (ouch is an understatement!)
A few photos.....
A snapshot inside the museum.....
One of the 'quaint' townships....
Moving right along ...on our way to Pennsylvania !

Power Napping - now that sounds like the kind of bike trip I would pay for. Luckily I can sneak in a power nap at work and let the company pay me for it. The photos are great. Looks like a wonderful trip and only half way there. Wishing you smooth asphalt for a pain-free ass the rest of the way.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture (bike not included). Remembering you playing your guitar in your childhood days.
ReplyDeleteKeep looking up (spirtually) but your eyes down
(physically) and you'll be in good hands.
I'm so jealous!!! Great pics of rock n' roll hall of fame!!! Suki is so sweet and she is doing well! So glad you are having an amazing summer, I am too!
